The Art of Coaching workshop is the starting point to grow your skills as a Transformational Coach. Based on Elena’s best-selling book, The Art of Coaching (retiring in July 2024), this blended learning experience takes you from knowledge building to effective implementation while accommodating busy schedules.

    Educators in all positions who work in public, charter, and private schools

1. What makes Transformational Coaching uniquely powerful as a way to build emotional resilience in educators and interrupt inequitable practices.

2. The three components of a Transformational Coaching conversation and how to use multiple strategies and tools for each component.

3. Your strengths and areas for growth as a coach and leader

4. How you can improve your coaching skills through scaffolded practice with other committed learners

How You'll Spend Your Time


Part 1: Self-Paced Prework - 4 hours minimum

Your experience begins with a self-guided exploration of the foundations of Transformational Coaching. This is a combination of knowledge building and reflection that will help you clarify your vision for yourself as a Transformational Coach. Elena has curated 21 hours of learning for this stage. While all content is highly recommended, 4 hours of learning content has been identified as required.


Part 2: Self-Paced Reflection - 1 hour

You'll synthesize your learning from Part 1 and prepare to share some of your reflections, takeaways, and questions in our session.


Part 3: Live Sessions - 4 hours over 2 days

Next, you’ll come together with a Bright Morning facilitator and a community of coaches to process your learning, observe masterful coaching, engage in coaching role plays, and receive feedback to sharpen your practice.



Bonus Learning Experience


Transformational Coaching Accelerator - Two hours

Your workshop includes an additional coaching practice session that allows you to apply your workshop learnings and expand your Transformational Coaching toolkit. This session also includes everyone’s favorite activity–a live coaching demonstration!

Requirements 

All participants must have access to The Art of Coaching and The Art of Coaching Workbook. Books are not included in the registration fee and are required for prework. Both books are retiring in late July 2024. This is one of our final Art of Coaching cohorts for 2024. 

The virtual engagement takes place on Zoom and requires Zoom (5.14.5 or higher)* and a computer. If you have access needs or accommodation requests, please email [email protected]. We will do our best to meet accessibility needs. 

*Currently Zoom does not allow for auto-captioning in breakout rooms, which we frequently use in workshops. Please let us know if you require captioning in all spaces to access learning.

Recordings

The workshop will be recorded in the event you would like to rewatch it at a later time. Transformational Coaching Accelerators are not recorded due to the significant time spent in breakouts. 

Participants have access to content for 30 days after the last session to help supplement their learning.

In the rare event that Bright Morning does not receive enough interest in this offering to host it as scheduled, we will provide an alternative learning pathway for all registrants or honor refunds for those who cannot join the alternate experience.
