WHY YOU WANT TO ATTEND

Do you want to be more effective, happier, and fulfilled at work? While there’s no one-size-fits-all approach (and we’re not pretending there aren’t significant systemic and structural changes also needed), what we can promise you is that if you commit to meaningfully engaging with the content in Onward: Cultivating Emotional Resilience in Educators and The Onward Workbook, your fulfillment, happiness, and effectiveness will increase. That’s a big promise, but one we stand behind.

The Onward Book Club offers a year of monthly book study discussions for individuals and groups to grow resilience in a supportive community. Based on the 12-month curriculum in the books, Onward and The Onward Workbook, the book study will provide strategies and practices to help you deepen your resilience.

The book focuses on the 12 habits that cultivate resilience and their correlating dispositions and provides a roadmap for how to feel more effective, more fulfilled, and happier at work.

📖 Move Beyond the Book
This book study provides you with an opportunity to connect with and learn from educators around the world. As you process your learning and practice new strategies together, you’ll experience the potential of supporting yourself and each other to create healthy, resilient communities. You’ll be amazed by the connections you will make in a short period of time and the inspiration you’ll find in this experience. You’ll return to your organizations feeling energized and hopeful about what can be done in schools, and about your potential for impact.

WHAT’S REQUIRED

Participants must have their own copy of Onward. This book is required for prework reading each month and is not included in the registration fee. We also highly recommend having your own copy of The Onward Workbook, though it is not strictly required.

The virtual engagement takes place on Zoom and requires Zoom (5.12.2 or higher)* and a computer. If you have access needs or accommodation requests, please email support@brightmorningteam.com. We will do our best to meet accessibility needs.

*Currently Zoom does not allow for auto-captioning in breakout rooms, which we frequently use in workshops. Please let us know if you require captioning in all spaces to access learning.

YOUR INVESTMENT

Participants may join the book study at any time as each month’s discussion will be recorded and access made available through the duration of the learning experience.

*To register a group, pay by invoice, or pay by purchase order, please complete this Pay by Invoice/PO form.
