As coaching gurus Rafael Echeverría and Julio Olalla say, "Without trust there can be no coaching."

Why we created this course: Trust is not something we can build by using a checklist, and it takes focused attention to build and maintain. As coaches, it's something we must work on—perhaps first and foremost.

Who this course is for: Anyone who coaches or wants to employ coaching strategies.

Prerequisites: A basic knowledge of transformational coaching. This course is an active journey of self-reflection. You should be prepared to explore your practice and immediately apply your learnings both with prepared scenarios as well with your clients in the field. You’ll leave the experience with a learning journal documenting your ideas for transforming your coaching practice.

Description: In this course, Elena Aguilar, acclaimed coach and author, takes you inside the mind of a transformational coach and guides you through the process of assessing, building and maintaining the level of trust necessary for powerful coaching and client transformation.

The course is built around 12 practices that build trust. Through a series of videos and interactive exercises, you’ll learn why building trusting relationships requires skill and intentionality, and be prepared to build or deepen your coaching relationships. You will also have the opportunity to deepen your understanding by engaging with Elena and other coaches in our Discussion Forum.

Outcomes

  1. Deepen your understanding of the transformational coaching model and the critical role trust plays in transformational coaching relationships.

  2. Expand your ability to build trust, assess if/when breaches in trust occur, and be able to rebuild trust when necessary.
